Solicitation Description: The Texas General Land Office (“GLO”) and the Veterans Land Board (“VLB”) (collectively the “GLO/VLB”) seeks a highly skilled contractor to replace the HVAC DX Split Systems and controls at the Watkins-Logan Texas State Veterans Home (the “Home”) in Tyler, Texas (the “Project”). The Project scope consists of replacing all HVAC DX Split Systems and the HVAC control equipment and parts at the Home per the specifications provided in the Project Manual. The selected Contractor must replace all outdoor condensing units
across ten (10) resident buildings and one (1) Community administration building. There is a total of eleven (11) twenty-two (22) ton condensing units and eleven (11) eight (8) ton condensing units. The selected Contractor must replace all twenty-two (22) air handling units located in the attics of each building; replace all control panels, control boards, temperature sensors and damper actuators associated with the new HVAC equipment; and replace all damper actuators, control boards and thermostats associated with each resident room and common area Fan Powered Box (“FPB”). Each FPB has electric heat, and there is a total of 208 FPBs across eleven (11) buildings.
