The Naval Medical Research Unit No. 6, Bacteriology Department, engages in research on infectious diarrhea as a major threat to deployed military forces worldwide. Also in the post-infectious functional gastrointestinal sequelae and its impact of health-related quality of life have not been studied in reservist populations.
