Special Notice TapeStation SystemThis is not a solicitation. This is a notification of an intent to award a single source procurement under NAICS code 334516. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Animal Parasitic Diseases Laboratory (APDL) in Beltsville, MD will solicit and award a purchase order for a standalone instrument and software to perform quality control (QC) of DNA and RNA samples from diverse organisms. The QC instrument can be used for DNA or RNA quantification in routine experiments and library preparation to investigate genome composition and/or gene expression using Next-Generation Sequencing.The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide this requirement. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(1),
only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. If firms believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a technical capability statement along with business profile to Dilynn Rogers at
dilynn.rogers@usda.gov by 8/11/2022. Any information received will be treated as market research information towards future similar or same requirements. Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice will not be accepted since the synopsis is not a request for proposal. A determination to compete this action based on the responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to
dilynn.rogers@usda.gov . No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by 8/11/2022 at 10:00 AM EST, an award will be made to Agilent Technologies.
