The Command Vehicle will be used by the County’s Office of the Sheriff (“Sheriff’s Office” or “SHO”). The intent of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to identify a Contractor who can provide a Command Vehicle that will perform a variety of commands and communication roles during any and all critical incidents that may arise. The County will be utilizing Grant funding for this acquisition

and will be limited to the approximate amount of $400,000, which is subject to Grant approval with respect to the delivery timeline. In addition to the specifications and requirements listed in Section II, of this RFP, the Command Vehicle must be: - Designed, built and delivered to the County by December 2024. - In compliance with the California Class C License requirements to operate. - Outfitted for a communication system with related accessories. - Provided for by a manufacturer or manufacturer authorized dealer for vehicle. - Accompanied with proper vehicle registration in the name of the County. This solicitation may result in a one-time purchase order award. The County will hold a virtual pre-proposal conference through Microsoft Teams on the date and time specified in Section III. A of this RFP. A teleconference line will also be provided, but attendance is encouraged through the Teams Application. Attendance in the pre-proposal conference is highly recommended.
