Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) intends to award a Sole Source contract to –CAMFIL USA INC- 500 INDUSTRIAL AVE, CORCORAN, CA 98212-9629 for HEPA FILTERS see attached Sole Source Justification.PSNS & IMF will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition.The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization).The proposed contract action is Sole Source only.In accordance with FAR 5.102, the required justification documentation is attached.This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming.
