The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requires removal of a sunken recreational vessel. The ~34 ft, unidentified vessel was sunk near the T.J. O’Brien Lock at 2515 E 134 St, Chicago, IL 60633. The vessel is located outside of the lock chamber.The contractor is solely responsible for the location, removal, and salvaging of the vessel, as well as any debris associated with the vessel. The contractor must minimize chemical leakage that may occur during this work, and if any leakage occurs, the contractor is responsible for containing contamination and any necessary cleanup.The removal of the vessel includes lifting the vessel, towing to land, and transportation to an appropriate salvaging facility. The contractor shall be responsible for the appropriate disposal of the vessel.Prior to the start of work, the contractor shall notify the USACE POC about how and the work will be completed. This includes information about how/where the boat will be lifted, transported on water, where the salvaging facility is located, as well as any other information associated with the work being done.The work shall be completed by the contractor within 30 calendar days of contract award.Any questions shall be directed to Artem Vyshnyakov at (630) 888-1757 or
