Martin Luther King & Chatham Bridge Rehabs

NOTICE TO BIDDERS: Go to thomasville.org/departments/purchasing for the complete & unabbreviated Invitation to Bid. Below is an abbreviated version. Sealed bids for the City of Thomasville's MARTIN LUTHER KING & CHATHAM BRIDGE REHABS project will be received until 10:00 AM local time on March 28, 2024, at the City Engineer¿s Office, 411 W. Jackson St., Thomasville, GA 31792 for public opening. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for request of bids for a period of 60 days. The Prime Bidder shall be a certified GA Department of Transportation contractor & will furnish all materials, labor, equipment & perform all work required to complete the project. This project includes the following: (1) Concrete bridge deck and pile spall repairs for Martin Luther King Jr. Drive bridge (over CSX railroad). (2) Expansion joint cleaning and replacements at both Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Bridge (over CSX Railroad) and Chatham Drive bridge (over Bruce¿s Branch). A complete set of plans, specs, & bid documents may be viewed and procured at the City Engineer¿s Office (see address above). Proposals will not be considered by Owner unless Bidder is on record as purchasing & receiving complete Bid Documents. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid. If awarded the Contract, bidder will submit separate Payment & Performance Bond each for 100% of the Contract amount. Bids must be plainly marked ¿MARTIN LUTHER KING & CHATHAM BRIDGE REHABS¿ & must be delivered before the time specified.
