Land Mobile Radio System End-of-Life Replacement Project Description :The GTAA’s P25 radio system is an essential communications tool critical in support of public safety and the day-to-day operation of Toronto Pearson. This system is used by GTAA staff including Fire and Emergency Services; Corporate Safety and Security; Terminal, Airside and De-icing Operations; and Buildings and Airfield Maintenance. GTAA has launched a program to renew its radio infrastructure. The current system is stable, works well, and meets GTAA’s operational requirements, but will no longer be supported by the manufacturer as of April 2024. GTAA will renew this infrastructure, with the goal of implementing a renewed P25 system that meets or exceeds the same performance capabilities, supports existing user equipment, interfaces the existing dispatch system, maintains current functional capabilities, and is supported by the Proponent and manufacturer with a maintenance and support agreement.
