Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS NETWORK CONTRACTING OFFICE 9 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE / SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE On behalf of the VISN 9, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 9 intends to award a firm-fixed price Contract against Belimed, Inc. for procurement of the following: Belimed Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Equipment. The anticipated statutory authority permitting limiting the source Justification for the requirement is FAR 6.303-2. Items peculiar to one manufacturer-The material/service must be compatible in all aspects (forms, fit and function) with existing systems presently installed/performing. All existing Belimed SPS equipment owned by TVHS shall be covered by this service and maintenance contract. Equipment covered in the contract includes the 609 VS2 medical sterilizers, the UW 565 ultrasonic washer, the washer automation system (gate and WA 290), the
WTDH250 boilers, CS 750 cart washer, the WD 290 washer disinfectors, the sterilizer carts, washer carts, and the washer racks. Coverage of the sterilizer carts, washer carts, and washer racks shall be contingent on a wellness check prior to contract execution. It shall include Preventive Maintenance (PM) services, Emergency Maintenance services, chamber cleanings, and water analysis testing. All equipment is located at the Nashville VA campus. Cost for technical service training will be included as well. The service training cost will cover tuition, lodging, and airfare. The specific terms and TVHS requirements for the PM and Emergency Maintenance services are detailed in this SOW and shall be met by the Contractor. This acquisition is anticipated to take place on or about July 11, 2023. The period of performance will be for one base year plus four option year. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339113 with a small business size standard of 750 Employees This notice of intent is not a request for offers. However, all responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement that proves by the preponderance of the evidence that another contractor can provide a service contract on Belimed Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Equipment at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Medical Center Nashville. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
