applications server’s function is to host our web applications, some with financial transactions, and survey data collection from up to 1000 health care facilities. The database server provides backend services for the SQL-based web applications. The SFTP & web application testing server provides a portal for partners/customers to submit and receive large files and a private testing environment for web applications. The data sharing server will be used to upload data visualizations (using Multisource File Transfer Protocol - MFTP) from an external site and permit limited consumer access through a secure web interface. The hosting of these servers will enable the Commission to continue its annual data acquisition and reporting activities, improve the efficiency and security of web server applications, and provide a secure and effective mechanism for making large data files available to approved applicants of the data, as well as a secure, easy to manage mechanism for file uploads from external providers of data.
