WELLAND AVENUE REAR YARD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

INVITATION FOR BIDSPlease be advised, the City of Bridgeton, Missouri will receive sealed bids for the Welland Avenue Rear Yard Drainage Improvement Project until 10:00 a.m. (Central Time) on THURSDAY, September 15, 2022 (“Closing Time”) at the Bridgeton Government Center, 12355 Natural Bridge Road, Bridgeton, Missouri 63044, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.Project – The project will consist of tree and brush removal, the installation of two new area inlets and two new manholes, approximately 312 lineal feet of 12” PP Pipe storm sewer, including slope restoration and sodding. Additional items and estimated quantities are inclusive in the Bid Proposal and Drawings.Bid packages will be available beginning August 31, 2022, from the Bridgeton Government Center, 12355 Natural Bridge Road, Bridgeton, Missouri 63044 for a cost of $25.00 per set. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cashier’s check or certified check, or a Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company, and payable to the City, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the sum total of the bid. Not less than the prevailing hourly rates of wages as found by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri, or determined by court on appeal, shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this Contract and Contractor will indemnify and hold the City harmless therefore. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive all informalities in Bids. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days, subsequent to the specified time for receipt of Bids. No low bidder shall have a business expectancy merely because his bid is the lowest one received; until the contract has been awarded, no business expectancy exists. Bids may be withdrawn solely for demonstrated and verifiable clerical or typographical mistake, but not mistake of judgment.
