Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a SOLICITATION for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to construct a new communication server building to replace the temporary trailer known as Bldg. 56410. New building shall house both NIPR and SIPR in Fort Hood, Texas. This acquisition is 100% Total Small Business set aside under NAICS 236220 (Size Standard $39.5 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. (Solicitation will be updated to reflect change at a later time)The purpose of this project is to construct a new communication server building to replace the temporary trailer known as Bldg. 56410. New building shall house both NIPR and SIPR in Fort Hood, Texas. The contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work
shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX20200230 01/03/2020 Superseded General Decision Number: TX20190230; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building; County: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. An organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement on 8 July 2020, 202020 at 10:00 A.M. CDT. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation.Bid opening will be conducted on August 20, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. CDT please refer to the solicitation for additional details. Contract performance period will be 180 days after notice to proceed is issued. The technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Federal Business Opportunity (betaSAMS) at https://www.beta.sam.gov.
