The Subscription vendor should offer the following:
Complete subscription management services, including ordering, claiming and day-today servicing of print and electronic subscription orders.
A dedicated Customer Service Representative assigned to the account.
An Account Services Manager who is a professional librarian and will provide training and consultative services to library staff.
A Subscription Management service, which provides us with online access in real-time to information about our orders.
A Mission Copy Bank, which provides access to replacement issues, available free to the vendor’s customers.
Interfaces with integrated library systems that allow the vendor’s system to “talk to” our ILS and automatically handle issues like claiming and invoicing.
Training and technical support for the librarians and users.
A broad suite of collection development and serials management reports, which allow libraries to evaluate their collections and make budgeting decisions.
