Synopsis for CIVCO Body Pro-Lok System : This is a combined Sole Source Synopsis / Solicitation published for informational purposes only. This proposed action is for the procurement of CIVCO Body Pro-Lock Immobilization System for the 88th Medical Group (AFMC) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 334517: Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing. Business size standard for NAICS 334517 is 1,000 employees. PSC/FSC code: 6515: Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies The proposed source is CIVCO Medical Instruments Co., Inc., located at 2301 Jones Blvd, Coralville MN 55082-7536. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

In order to comply with FAR 5.207(c)(15) The Government requires Body Pro-Lok Immobilization system to support the radiation oncology mission at Wright Patterson AFB Medical Center. Body Pro-Lok System to be used in radiation therapy for patient positioning, reproducibility, and respiratory dampening at Wright Patterson AFB Medical Center All three components are absolutely necessary for treating Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) which is fine tuned beams of radiation to treat small tumor areas. The 88th Medical Group (AFMC) requires Body Pro-Lok System that is customizable, multidirectional (able to adjust up, down and side to side, tiltable), ability to function with a single operator.
