Title: ITB #2023-02 Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center Repairs & Upgrades to the Existing Bleacher Seating Deadline: 3/29/2023 3:00 PM (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Status: Open Solicitation Number: 2023-02 Description: Scope of WorkAll work will be performed on the existing bleacher seating system in the Covered Arena at the Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center and Fairgrounds. The facility hosts over 65 events annually, many of which bring attendees into the stands in crowd sizes varying from 150 to 4,000 people. Most events take place on the weekends, but occupancy by event staff and patrons can begin on Friday in some cases. Work will be required to take place during facility working hours Monday through Friday, with the possibility of ending work by noon on some Fridays. In some cases, the contractor may be required to schedule work around some events during the week. To provide a secure job site for the safety of the public that use the facility, all job-related

material should be put away so that it cannot be accessed by the public during events. The staff of the Agri-Civic Center will make every reasonable effort to work with the successful bidder on scheduling the work.Safety of event patrons is a major concern, therefore all materials, attachments, hardware, etc. used should be the equivalent of, or better, quality than that used in the original construction. All chain link fencing should be the same gauge and size wire as the original and should be a minimum Class 3 galvanized wire. In addition to the specific items listed in the accompanying attachments, all mounting hardware (clamps, clips, wire ties, securing straps, bolts, washers, nuts etc.) for the handrails and fencing in all bleachers should be inspected, and all loose, bent, broken, or missing hardware should be tightened or, if necessary, replaced. All hardware that is replaced, should be replaced with stainless steel or galvanized hardware when possible.The successful bidder will be required to;Furnish all materials, permitting, labor, and equipment necessary for the repairs and upgrades listed in the attached Bleacher Inspection Report (see Attachment A), and the additional chain link work (see Attachment B).Furnish all materials, permitting, labor, and equipment necessary for the repairs and upgrades listed in Attachment C. Items listed in Attachment C should be priced separately from items listed in Attachments A and B.During the course of performing the work, bring to the attention of the Agri-Civic Center management staff any additional items which may affect the structural integrity of the bleacher system or the safety of the public who will be using the bleacher systems.
