Mount Morris Dam North Adit Tunnel Repairs –Work consists of providing all plant, labor, materials, etc. needed to develop and install repairs to the North Adit Tunnel at Mount Morris Dam. The tunnel is reinforced concrete installed through shale. The length of tunnel to be repaired is approximately 20 feet long and 5 feet wide. It was constructed with a flat bottom and arched ceiling. The radius of the arched ceiling is 2 feet 6 inches. Tunnel walls and ceiling are approximately 2 feet thick. The successful bidder will be required to develop the repair and details of the repair, submit repair details for approval by the Government, and installation of the approved repairs. The tunnel must be passable by personnel after installation of the repairs. A foundation investigation has been conducted at the site by the Government and data is presented in project specifications. The project also includes optional work to install a reinforced concrete façade at the entrance to the North Adit Tunnel on the top of a non-overflow portion of the Dam. The façade will be connected by dowels to the top of the dam and will brace the existing North Adit Tunnel’s concrete face. Access to the project area is limited.
