It is the intent of these specifications to describe a commercial boat to be used for law enforcement patrol and rescue. This patrol boat and trailer will be primarily used on low elevation lakes, reservoirs (with an average of 12" to 18" swells and 10 to 15 MPH winds to a high of 2' to 3' swells with 30 to 35 MPH winds) and occasionally on three rivers. Normal usage will be a minimum of 10 hours per day 5 days per week and shall be on call at all other times for patrol, rescues, and dive operations. During extreme weather, this boat will be on stand-by for emergencies. The boat must withstand moderate rain and winds. The boat and trailer configuration, balance and construction must allow stability, maneuverability, and durability on the waterways to be patrolled, and for the patrol purposes intended and during the frequent towing of this boat from one waterway to another.
