INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRACTORS
The Water Treatment Plant Site is located at the southernmost point of 51 street in the Town of Taber, Alberta.
PURPOSE
The Town of Taber is requesting submissions for Qualification of Contractors to bid on the:
TOWN OF TABER
WATER TREATMENT PLANT GENERATOR AND ATS REPLACEMENT
The project includes upgrades and modifications to the Town’s existing potable water treatment

plant.
Major work items for this contract will include the following:
a) Relocation of existing generator and accessories from existing building to public works shop.
b) Building wall and roof patching and painting.
c) Install and commission new generator mounted on building exterior.
d) Coordinate the installation and commissioning of new ATS, which is to be installed on site by manufacturer technicians hired by the Contractor.
e) Coordinate equipment change over and ensure Water Treatment Plant remains operational at all times.
f) New cable tray, conduit and cabling between generator building, site, and Water Treatment Plant.
The intent of this qualification process is to allow the Town of Taber to rate and select eligible Contractors that will bid for the construction of the above noted project.
Through this request for qualifications the Town of Taber seeks to ensure that companies that bid on this Contract have the experience, skill, ability, resources, bonding, integrity, and safety requirements needed to complete the specific work of this project.
All amendments to the associated notice, including amended documents, plans and specifications (where applicable), are issued by the originator of the notice.
