Synopsis/Solicitation ComboINTRODUCTIONThis is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-06, effective 12 July 2021. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 517410 Satellite Telecommunication, with an associated size standard of $35 million annually.SPECIFICATIONThe U.S. Geological Survey, California Water Science Center, operates and maintains over 500 USGS gaging stations through out California and often USGS staff work in remote locations where there is no cellular signal thus USGS seeks a company capable for providing SPOT devices that use satellite communication links to insure that signals go through to others that can assist in times of troubles described in the solicitation¿s Statement of Work.
