In order to efficiently manage multiple large scale habitat restoration projects the District seeks to hire four (4) full crews that meet the specifications described herein to complete the 2021 invasive plant management projects.  The District will supply all herbicides, surfactants, and water conditioning agents. 
The Work shall be performed at numerous Forest Preserves throughout Lake County including, but not limited to: Sun Lake, Buffalo Creek, Almond Marsh, Van Patten Woods, Pine Dunes, Oriole Grove, Fourth Lake, Old School, Prairie Wolf Slough, Fort Sheridan , Ryerson Woods, Grainger Woods, Mac Arthur Woods, Captain Daniel Wright Woods, Greenbelt, Lake Carina, Independence Grove, Waukegan Savanna, Wadsworth Savanna, Lyons Woods,  Nippersink, Raven Glen, Ray Lake, Lakewood, Rollins Savanna, Heron Creek, Kettle Grove, Cuba Marsh, Gander Mountain, Grassy Lake, Bluebird Meadow, Singing Hills, and Tanager Kames Forest Preserves.
The Work of this project shall include all labor and equipment to complete control of select invasive plants, including, but not limited to: Reed Canary Grass (
Phalaris arundinacea), Teasel (
Dipsacus spp.), Cattails (
Typha spp.), Common Reed (
Phragmites australis), Japanese Knotweed (
Polygonum cuspidatum), Leafy spurge (
Euphorbia esula), Fig Buttercup (
Ranunculus ficaria), Crown vetch (
Coronilla varia), Common goldenrod (
Solidago altissima) and Oriental Bittersweet (
Celastrus orbiculatus) at various Forest Preserves in Lake County.  More than three quarters of the Work Sites include State of Illinois Nature Preserves and other high quality
