Request for Information, Air Cargo Screening Qualification Test Qualification Process Guide

Purpose:The purpose of this document is to formally provide information regarding the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Air Cargo Screening Qualification Test (ASCQT) process for Original Equipment Manufacturers interested in listing their air cargo screening devices on the TSA Air Cargo Screening Technology List (ACSTL).Background:Air cargo that is transported on passenger aircraft in the United States must be screened commensurate to that of passenger checked baggage, as described in section 1602(a) of the 9/11 Act. As part of its regulatory responsibilities, TSA has established and maintains a qualification process whereby screening equipment is tested and evaluated to ensure it meets the rigorous standards mandated by the U.S. Congress.
