SECTION 00 0004 – ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL HVAC REPLACEMENT This solicitation for CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL HVAC REPLACEMENT is being issued by the Central Community School System. Sealed bids to be opened at 10510 Joor Road, Suite 300, Baton Rouge, LA 70818, at 2:00pm Local Time, on Thursday, August 22, 2019 for the Project entitled: CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL HVAC REPLACEMENT Located at: 10200 E Brookside Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70818 Project Number: GHC Project No. 341953 Complete Bid Documents, (Drawings, Specifications & Addenda), can be obtained at www.centralbidding.com . currently a subscriber, you will need to apply for “Free Access”. Access to the project is without charge and without deposit and will allow you to view, download or send offer documents to a printer. Electronic Bidding: Bidders may submit their offers electronically at www.centralbidding.com. Sealed bids may also be delivered by hand, by U.S. Mail or other courier service to 10510 Joor Road, Suite 300, Central, LA 70818, at 2:00pm. Bidders shall be solely responsible for ensuring that their bids are received on or before the bid opening and CCSS shall not be responsible for any failure of the delivery method chosen. All bids received after 2:00 pm on August 22, 2019 will be returned to the bidder unopened. Prospective bidders desiring further information or interpreta­tions of the Drawings and/or Specifications shall request such data electronically via http://login.projecttrek.com/BiddingLogin.aspx. Answers to all questions, inquiries and requests for additional information will be issued in the form of Addenda to the Drawings and Specifications and copies of each addendum will be posted on http://login.projecttrek.com/BiddingLogin.aspx, and www.centralbidding.com. Refer to Instructions to Bidders. NOTE: Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction or Mechanical Work All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to 5% of the Base Bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond written in conformance with State law. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount on the forms provided by CCSS in the offer documents and written in accordance with State law. A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD ON AUGUST 8, 2019 AT 10:00AM. at CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL, 10200 E. BROOKSIDE DRIVE, BATON ROUGE, LA 70818. WALKTHROUGH WILL IMMEDIATELY FOLLOW CONFERENCE. BIDS SHALL BE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM CONTRACTORS THAT ATTEND THE ENTIRE PRE-BID CONFERENCE. The successful Bidder will be allowed One Hundred Twenty (120) calendar days to complete the Project from the date stated in the Contract. Liquidated Damages will be assessed at $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day for which the Work is not substantially complete after the expiration of the allotted time. The Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis stated in the Instruction to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date of bid opening. CCSS reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section and those stated in the bid documents shall not be waived by any entity.
