City Hall Masonry Project FY22

The City of Bowie requests proposals for masonry repairs (resetting) and replacement of stone veneer at various locations on exterior walls, annual inspection, and maintenance at City Hall, which is located at 15901 Excalibur Road, Bowie, Maryland. A full copy of this RFP may be obtained by emailing your request to Robin Jones, Contract Specialist, at rjones@cityofbowie.org . The work shall conform to the scope of services contained in this Request for Proposals (RFP).  The City reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by the bidder or an investigation of such bidder fails to satisfy the City that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract; and further reserves the right to reduce or modify the scope of the Project in order to meet funding limits and the City’s schedule.   By submission of a proposal, the bidder represents that it has the ability to comply with all

requirements contained in the bid documents.                   There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the site on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 9:00 am.                   All questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Proposal shall be submitted by email to Robin Jones at rjones@cityofbowie.org .   Deadline for inquiries is 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021.  Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued no later than Monday, July 19, 2021 to all those who request the RFP. Electronic (pdf) proposals will be received via email to Robin Jones at  rjones@cityofbowie.org until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021.  The subject line of the email must read  PROPOSAL: CITY HALL MASONRY PROJECT FY22 .  Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud via a virtual meeting.   A link to join the meeting will be emailed to all plan holders.  All blanks on every form provided by the City in connection with this Request for Proposals must be filled in, and no change shall be made to any part of the text of the form.   All proposals must be signed in ink by the bidder, with signature in full.  When a firm is a bidder, the agent who signs the firm name shall state the names and addresses of the individuals comprising the firm.  Performance and payment bonds will not be required.   Neither the City nor its representatives shall be liable for any expenses incurred in connection with the preparation of a response to this RFP.   For further information, contact Robin Jones at 301-809-3013 or  rjones@cityofbowie.org or Ray Drapeau at 301-809-3004 or  rdrapeau@cityofbowie.org .
