Fire ChiefVillage of Kronenwetter, WIThe Village of Kronenwetter Police and Fire Commission is pleased to announce the recruitment for the next Village of Kronenwetter Fire Chief. The Fire Chief is a paid on-call position as are the others in the Village of Kronenwetter Fire Department. A successful candidate for the Fire Chief position is expected to have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a minimum of 10 quality years of experience on a fire department. Candidates should be certified in Firefighter I and Firefighter II. Candidates should also comply with the state requirements in SPS 330.08(3). Candidates should also have completed Incident Command training IS 700 basic, ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300 and ICS 400, hold a Haz Mat operational level certificate, a basic first responder certification, with a basic EMT certification preferred but not required. Candidates should have entry level driver/operator/pumper, and Inspector training (state certification preferred). The
Kronenwetter Police and Fire Commission is interested in candidates that demonstrate strong leadership, have budgeting and grant writing experience, have documentation and communication experience as well as community relations experience. Candidates should have working knowledge of basic Human Resource issues such as worker’s compensation, Family Medical leave, disciplinary processes and other personnel issues. Candidates should also have working knowledge of state and federal laws relating to Fire Departments such as HIPPA, OSHA, NFPA, mutual aid and the Wisconsin Department of Commerce SPS 330.
