See attachment : "B3_Amendment 1"This is a Design-Bid-Build Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation. Proposals are due 16 May 2020.CONTRACT INFORMATION: This announcement is an unrestricted acquisition to make necessary repairs to the upgrade all of the taxiways at Hood Army Air Field (HAAF) to meet current UFC criteria at Fort Hood, TX. The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price, Design Bid Build contract. Firms will be selected based on demonstrated competence and

qualifications for the required work.  The North American Industrial Classification System code is 236220, which has a size standard of $36.5 million. A firm-fixed-price contract will be awarded. The contract is anticipated to be approximately awarded in August 2020. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at https://www.sam.gov/.  No state level certifications will be accepted. PROJECT INFORMATION:  This project will include all work in accordance with the plans and specification to make necessary repairs to the upgrade all of the taxiways at HAAF to meet current UFC criteria. Repair Runway and Aircraft Taxiways at Hood Army Airfield. Recommended repairs include but are not limited to asphalt crack seal, localized asphalt patching, localized asphalt repair to make flush with surrounding concrete pavements and construction of new shoulders where required. The scope will also include the repair and/or replace lighting on taxiways to meet new rotary wing requirements under current codes. New lighting system will require a new lighting layout. All work shall comply with all State, local and Federal laws and regulations, and applicable code requirements.The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is committed to excellence in the construction activity for this requirement. The construction of this project shall achieve the highest quality of operations and aesthetics in meeting the requirements of the design while at the same time being cost effective.The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between: $10,000,000 and $25,000,000.
