New Fire Department Burn Building

Sealed proposals from General Contractors will be received by the Board of Commissioners of Ware County, Georgia, at Board of Commissioners Office, Conference Room 221, 800 Church Street, Waycross, Georgia 31501 until 2:00 P.M. Legally Prevailing Time on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 for New Fire Department Burn Building for Ware County Board of Commissioners. At the time and place noted above, the proposals for this project will be publicly opened and read. No extension of the bidding period will be made. Project consists of: At the property located at 3801 Scapa Road, Waycross, Georgia 31503, construction of a two story steel frame fire department training burn building including ventilation, power, lighting and fire protection training sprinkler system as indicated on the design documents. Site work related to this project shall include finish grading in the area of the building, related erosion control and repairs to any damaged aggregate drive areas caused by construction activities

and as indicated on the design documents. Plans and specifications are available from Crews Engineering, Inc., 101-B South Patterson Street, Valdosta, Georgia 31601. (229) 244-3100, Fax (229) 244-4210. A bidders list will be available from Crews Engineering, Inc. Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and all other interested parties may obtain plans and specifications by contacting Crews Engineering, Inc. Bid documents will be available for printing cost of $50.00 per copy. Deposits for bid documents are refundable after the submittal of a bona fide bid and return of the copy of bid documents in good condition. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty five (45) days after time has been called on the date of opening. A Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid payable to the “Ware County Board of Commissioners” must accompany bids. The Bid Bond shall be issued by a company authorized to do business in the State. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. Qualified contractors shall be commercial general contractors licensed to provide contracting services in Ware County, Georgia. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. Site access is limited. A mandatory pre-bid site visit (at the project site) will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 10:00am local time.
