The U.S. Army Contracting Command New Jersey-Emerging Technologies Contracting Center, Benet Laboratories, Watervliet Arsenal, NY (ACC-NJ-ET) on behalf of U.S. Army Armament Research, Development & Engineering Center's (ARDEC), Benet Laboratories, is seeking capabilities statements from firms that can provide the U.S. Government with specialized machining services (Honing), engineering and test support for ARDEC's Explosive Bonding program. This includes providing original D6AC steel as part of performing machining services prior to cladding. In addition - the contactor shall machine the 25mm barrel after cladding to net-shape configuration. The contractor will also machine the rifling pattern into the cladded material. The rifling pattern will be that of a 25mm Bushmaster barrel. The material to be rifled will be tantalum and tantalum tungsten alloys.This notice is open to all business concerns; however, the government intends to evaluate and award BPAs to small business concerns. In
the event that there are not enough responses from small businesses, the government will consider awarding to large business concerns. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous contracts for similar supplies/services and other technical data.As prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004, interested parties must be registered with System for Award Management (SAM) under the NAICS 332510.
