The scope of work will include the following tasks: installation of nursery plants, ground cover plugs, and direct-seeded tree basins; installation of wood mulch around nursery plants and direct-seeded tree basins; grass and forbs seed installation; certified weed-free straw installation; watering of installed nursery plants, direct-seeded tree basins, and ground cover plugs; weeding around plant basins and invasive species control throughout the

site; installation, maintenance, and removal of tree shelters, browse protection cages and application of browse deterrent; replacement of dead plants; general site maintenance; monitoring; and reporting; all as more particularly described in the Contract Documents. Award of Contract is anticipated to occur on October 12, 2022. The Contractor must obtain all required permits and have complied with all pre-construction submittal requirements to begin on-site activities no later than November 1, 2022, after a pre-construction meeting is held. The selected Contractor must complete the installation of all Year 1 nursery plants, ground cover plugs, direct-seeded tree basins, and native grass/forbs seeding must be completed no later than January 31, 2023. On-site maintenance activities will occur from November 1, 2022, through December 31, 2023. The Project must be substantially complete no later than December 31, 2023. The District, at its sole discretion, may extend the contract for up to four additional one-year terms. September 1, 2022 Final Addendum to Bid Package issued September 8, 2022 Bid Opening, 1:30p.m.5050 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA, 94022 October 12, 2022 Award of Contract by District Board of Directors Regular Meeting, begins at 7:00 p.m. October 13, 2022 Written Notice of Award of Contract October 26, 2022 Pre-Construction Meeting and the deadline to submit Labor and Materials Payment Bond, Performance Bond, Proof of Insurance, and signed Agreement October 27, 2022 Written Notice to Proceed issued by District Bid Proposals will be received only at Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, 5050 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA 94022. If the Bid Proposal is mailed via the United States Postal Service, it must be sent by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested; if sent by courier or commercial carrier, it must have a tracking number or proof of receipt, and be received by the District prior to 1:30 p.m. on September 8, 2022. Bid Proposals will not be accepted via fax or email. Sealed Bid Proposals shall be publicly opened at 1:30 p.m. on September 8, 2022. Any Bid Proposal not delivered before the time set for the opening of bids will be returned unopened. Incomplete Bid Proposals may result in bid rejection, at District’s sole discretion. Estimated Amount:$1,159,600.00
