The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (herein “District”) intends to extend by one additional year a contract entered into in 2015 with DemandTrans Solutions, Inc., a firm with deep experience working with transit agencies to devise technology enabled for demand-responsive and flexible transit. This notice is published for informational purposes only.Procurement Instructions:This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the District will consider all inquiries received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written

responses to this notice must contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability, verifiable industry experience, a long term track record and proven expertise to fulfill the requirements as described under the Scope of Services portion of this notification below. The District reserves the right not to seek competitive proposals. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
Scope of Work:The District launched a pilot on-demand transit service called AC Transit Flex, which enables customers to book trips from selected bus stops using any internet mobile or desktop device, the District’ custom service call center or in person at scheduled departure times at the Union City and Castro Valley BART stations. DemandTrans Solutions provides a technology platform that enables a fully automated scheduling, dispatching and reservations system. The District is still considering whether to expand Flex services beyond the initial pilot effort, but intends to keep the existing services in place in the interim, and desires the continuity offered by DemandTrans.
