DMG Mori Equipment – Automation Cell

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey (CCNJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) – Armaments Center, located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed price contract to DMG Mori USA, Inc., 2400 Huntington Blvd, Hoffman Estates, IL, for establishing a prototype manufacturing automation cell. The M&PTD requires one (1) DMG Mori DMU 50 and one (1) Robo2Go with the option to purchase, within the period of performance, additional pieces of equipment. This effort will include the purchase, delivery, final installation, and training of each piece of equipment. DMG Mori USA, Inc. is a large business and is the only domestic manufacturer and supplier of DMG Mori equipment. DMG Mori USA, Inc. uses local authorized resellers to provide the DMG Mori equipment.The Authority for this procurement comes under Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, 41 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 1901 as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5: Brand Name.
