Description:- Because not every library can own every book published (more than 56,000 per year) IDS was established in the early 1980’s to help member libraries share print and non-print library resources to meet the information needs of end users. Partially subsidized by the PA Dept. of Education, and operating out of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22, the Interlibrary Delivery Service of Pennsylvania (IDS) is a unique 501(c)3 non-profit organization (EIN 23-2014237) which utilizes the Commonwealth’s contract with United Parcel Service to minimize interlibrary loan shipment costs. IDS is committed to providing a cost-effective and efficient delivery service linking all types of libraries to support timely resource sharing throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including national delivery for PA member libraries. http://www.idspa.org/ Public Comments regarding this sole source request may be forwarded to
