This reef restoration will compensate for lost ecosystem benefits associated with the loss of rocky-reef habitat in the Palos Verdes area due to contamination in the sediments from the Palos Verdes Shelf Superfund Site and reef burial due to sedimentation from nearby landslides, irrigation practices, and sewage effluent.
This procurement will be issued on a 100% unrestricted basis. The acquisition will be issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15- Contracting by Negotiation and Part 36- Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Other Heavy & Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $36.5 million. The magnitude of this requirement is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The RFP will be issued on or about September 17, 2018. The Government anticipates awarding one contract from this solicitation that will run from date of award until September 29, 2019.
