The following is summary of work contemplated under this solicitation. Work is located at Marys Lake Powerplant, approximately 3 miles southwest of Estes Park, Colorado in Larimer County. The principal components of work to be performed include the following: ¿ turbine runner, wear ring, and head gate trash rack, replacement; ¿ wicket gate refurbishment including journal shoulder machining, seal face rebuilding, and bushing replacement; ¿ lead abatement, abrasive blasting, weld repair, machining, and recoating of the head cover, shift ring, wicket gate linkages, scroll case, draft tube and stay vanes; ¿ rebabbitting of the upper guide bearing, lower guide bearing, turbine bearing, and thrust bearing shoes; ¿ refurbishment of the permanent magnetic generator (PMG); ¿ penstock flow meter

installation; ¿ cleaning and recoating the stator and the rotor; ¿ replacement of miscellaneous components including servo motor seals and turbine pit grease system lubrication components TYPE OF CONTRACT: This requirement is solicited as a/an Request for Proposal (RFP) using the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation. The Bureau of Reclamation anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract. MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 METHOD OF SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS: See Section L of this Solicitation. BUSINESS SIZE COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS: This acquisition is solicited as Full and Open. NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE: 237990.
