Special Notice for Brand Name Honeywell Vindicator Access Control System

SUBJECT: This notice is market research to support inclusion of sole source (brand name) specification in Solicitation W9126G25R0Z5Q entitled, B6413 Building Renovation Secure Space. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District, Texas intends to specify the below listed item as part of a renovation contract to be executed on Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB), Louisiana. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific item listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions.”(NAICS 561621) – Vindicator Access Control System (ACS) - We are to provide ACS to the entire facility. This facility will be monitored at multiple locations, throughout BAFB. Each existing location utilizes Vindicator ACS as

well as Vindicator support facilities. The B6413 Building Renovation Project is a new part of an existing infrastructure which currently uses a base wide Vindicator System. The B6413 will need to seamlessly tie into the existing systems without the use of interfaces.Vindicator ACS are manufactured by: Honeywell International, Inc.THIS NOTICE IS A SPECIAL NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be available as the sole source item will be incorporated into the specifications of the Solicitation for B6413 Building Renovation Secure Space.SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:Vendors who offer potential products/sources that meet the same functional requirements/specifications as the Honeywell Vindicator ACS, are invited to respond to this notice.
