INVITATION TO BID FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES Jefferson Township Police Department – Building Renovations The Jefferson Township Board of Supervisors are soliciting bids for renovations to their existing community center located at 487 Cortez Road in Mount Cobb, Pennsylvania. The following Project Description is based on information currently available. Each Bidder should evaluate the work involved prior to submission of a proposal. The project briefly described is: Renovations will be performed to the existing Senior Center adjacent to the township building for the purposes of converting the space to police department offices. Alterations will include the installation of new partitions for offices, a lobby, a shower room, and accessory spaces. New interior finishes will be installed within the work areas. Existing windows will be replaced with new security windows or infilled. New lighting and power will be installed within the work area. Work will be limited to the existing building,
and no additions are proposed. Bid packages including specifications, scope of services and bid documents may be obtained at no cost via PennBid (https://pennbid.procureware.com/home). A Prevailing Wage determination has been requested from the PA Department of Labor and Industry and Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project. The determination is included in the complete RFP. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the site on Thursday, September 22 st at 9:00 AM.Proposals will be received electronically via PENNBID until 3:00 PM on Monday, October 10, 2022. Bids will be publicly opened at the regularly scheduled Township Supervisor’s meeting of the Jefferson Township Supervisors at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 10, 2022. Bids may be held by the Supervisors for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder, prior to the award of the Contract. The Jefferson Township Board of Supervisors is expected to award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder at their November 14, 2022 meeting, reserving the right to waive any informality and accept or reject any and all Bids. Performance and Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount shall be provided by the successful bidder within 20 days of the award. A bid bond for 10% of the bid amount shall be provided with the bid.
