Richardson Highway MP 357-362 Bicycle/Pedestrian Path Project State/Federal Project Number Z615970000/0A24032The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is soliciting comments on the proposed Richardson Highway MP 357-362 Bicycle/Pedestrian Path project. The project will construct a paved bicycle/pedestrian path along the Richardson Highway between MP 357-362, connecting a signalized crosswalk at the Old Richardson Highway/Badger Road intersection with an existing pathway near the Richardson Highway/Airport Way/Gaffney Road intersection. Additional work will include a pedestrian bridge, drainage improvements, slope work, utility relocations, signage and delineators, and installation of barriers or guardrails.The project construction is scheduled for Summer 2023This proposed project complies with the following Executive Orders (EO):EO 11990, Notice of Wetland Involvement EO 12898, Environmental Justice EO 11593, Protection and Enhancement of the Cultural Environment EO 13112, Invasive SpeciesWe are currently working on final design, engineering and final environmental reviews and want to ensure that all possible factors are considered.
