The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among potential pool of responsible contractors. ANTICIPATED PROJECT TITLE:  Construct Parallel Taxiway and Construct Airfield Upgrades5. ACQUISITION INFORMATION:  USACE NAU anticipates soliciting and awarding a stand-alone contract for

the construction of the facilities in support of Construct Parallel Taxiway and Construct Airfield Upgrades at Kecskemet Air Base, Hungary. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000 and $50,000,000.The construction completion period is anticipated to be 706 calendar days after the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed.This acquisition will be solicited for full and open competition (unrestricted).  Small and Small Disadvantaged Business requirements are waived for this project due to its location Outside of the Contiguous United States (OCONUS), which means that this procurement and administration of the ensuing contract will use United States (US) procurement laws and regulation, and all eligible firms are invited to take part in this requirement.6. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The work includes the construction of the Parallel Taxiway and Airfield Upgrades as defined in the drawings and specifications, and incidental related work. The Parallel Taxiway and Airfield Upgrades project includes the following facilities and infrastructure: parallel taxiway, ladder taxiways, airfield lighting, tactical fighter aircraft (TFA) parking apron, cargo delivery roadway, and supporting utilities.7.
