This project includes all labor and equipment required to demolish selective non-structural building components and to remove hazardous materials as detailed in the Project Manual (Attachment A) the Demolition Drawings (Attachment B) and the Abatement Drawings (Attachment C). This Phase 1 Abatement and Demolition work is being done in preparation for a complete building renovation scheduled to begin in 2023. The Central Hall area-of-work contains approximately 41,000 gross square feet. The original building was constructed in 1950 as the new campus Library. In 1967 Central underwent a major renovation changing the building use into classrooms and offices. Central has remained substantially unchanged since 1967. The work scope for this project includes, but is not limited to: • Site safety and access control, including safety barriers and temporary fencing • Abatement of floor tile & mastic, pipe insulation, HVAC sealants, wall finishes, and miscellaneous related items • Demo and removal of ceilings • Demo and removal of partitions, doors, frames and relights • Demo and removal of plumbing piping and fixtures • Demo and removal of HVAC equipment, hydronic piping, ducting and grilles • Evacuation and removal of split-system cooling units • Demo and removal of electrical wiring, low voltage wiring, lighting, electrical subpanels and related equipment • Miscellaneous related work as detailed in the drawings and
