Supply and Delivery of Foot Wear (shoes) for Calgary Transit Project Description :1 - This RFP is open to all interested suppliers. 2 - The City of Calgary (The City) and Calgary Transit are seeking proposals for shoes to be worn by Transit employees including operators, dispatchers and supervisors. Calgary Transit has approximately 2,500 male and female employees, who can have one pair of footwear per year. Employee can choose either boots or shoes. This RFP is for shoes. The City’s focus in evaluation of the proposal will be specifically on orthotics, comfort, appearance and cost of the footwear. The proposed footwear should have a heavy tread rubber sole (slip resistant), it should have a polishable toe and it should look appropriate for the work. 3 - This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4 - The Agreement will be for an initial term of one (1) year. The Agreement may be renewed, three (3) times for two (2) years each time. The potential total term length is seven (7)
