RFP For Langford Campus Phase I Facility - IT Network

The purpose of this invitational Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is to select one (1) qualified Proponent to enter into Contract ( Appendix A) with Royal Roads University (“Royal Roads”) to supply Information Technology network equipment and to provide qualified resources to supply, deploy, train, install, configure and test the physical and logical design for a new facility in Langford. The facility is a multi-use building to be used by Royal Roads and other education institutions. The multi-floor facility requires wired and wireless services to facilitate the delivery of the educational programming and staff operations. The successful Proponent (i.e., Contractor) will also supply the network and wireless equipment for Royal Roads’ Colwood campus refresh over four (4) fiscal periods. NOTE: All network installers must be senior technicians that have vendor-relevant certification with at least five (5) years of experience working with Juniper Network and Wireless hardware and software

products, as well as Networking, Routing and Firewalling in general.The scope of work and responsibilities are defined in section 1. It is anticipated that the Contract will commence May 29, 2023, and is to be completed by no later than June 2024 in preparation for the Langford campus building opening in August 2024. The Colwood campus network refresh will also commence May 29, 2023, with an ongoing annual refresh for four fiscal periods, ending in 2027.This RFP is not an invitation to treat and not a tender or an offer, and there is no intention by Royal Roads University to make an offer by releasing this RFP.
