Since 1971, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts(VCCA) has provided uninterrupted time and space for artists to produce works of literature, visual art, and music. VCCA hosts more than 400 fellows each year at Mt. San Angelo in Amherst, Virginia, and the Moulin à Nef in Auvillar, France. Applicants will be considered for a VCCA residency and as many fully funded fellowships for which they are eligible. The VCCA residency at Mt. San Angelo includes a private bedroom with a private en suite bath, a separate individual studio, and three meals a day in a community of cross-disciplinary artists. Fellowships with the May 15, 2024, deadline include: Wachtmeister Award:A residency of up to 30 days at Mt. San Angelo, $1,000 honorarium, and $750 travel stipend will be awarded to established composers and/or sound artists using acoustic sources who have not previously been in residence at VCCA.50th Anniversary Fellowships for Artists of Color:A fully funded two-week residency at Mt. San
Angelo will be awarded to artists of color who have not previously been in residence at VCCA.Barbara Crooker Caregiving Fellowship:A fully funded two-week residency at Mt. San Angelo will be awarded to artists in any discipline who are caregivers to an ill or disabled spouse, child, or another family member.Harry D. Forsyth Fellowship for the Visual Arts:A fully funded two-week residency at Mt. San Angelo with a $100 travel stipend will be awarded to Sweet Briar College alumnae who demonstrate exceptional ability and commitment to the visual arts. Jacques and Natasha Gelman Fellowship:A fully funded two-week or one-month residency at Mt. San Angelo and a $1,000 honorarium will be awarded to African American and Latinx visual artists.Goldfarb Family Fellowship:A fully funded two-week residency at Mt. San Angelo will be awarded to writers of creative nonfiction.Montana Fellowship:A fully funded one-month residency at Mt. San Angelo will be awarded to writers, visual artists, and composers living in Montana.Richard S. And Julia Louise Reynolds Poetry Fellowship:A fully funded three-week residency at Mt.
