located at 4191 17 Mile Rd NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319. The campus will house both\nthe North Sub-Station for the Sheriff\u2019s Office and the North Clinic for the Health Department. The RFP\nshall include an analysis of the site plan (reference Appendix \u201cC\u201d attached) and overall building floor\nplans (Appendix \u201cD\u201d), identifying solutions to wayfinding issues, identifying sign types and determining\nthe location and message of all signs. Flexible signs that need to be changed or updated frequently shall\nalso be identified. The successful vendor will be responsible for all aspects of this project. In addition,\nworking with various constituent groups and work teams, including Kent County Facilities Management,\nthe County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the County Health Department and others will be critical in providing an\nefficient, effective and functional signage and wayfinding program for the new North County Campus\nfacility and residents of Kent County.\n\nThe design of the signage and wayfinding program shall be based upon all city, county and state policies\npermitting such signage including life safety issues and disabled access guidelines. Each sign shall serve\na distinct informational function.\n\nSCOPE\n\nThe scope of what Kent County is in need of for this project, and the basis for this RFP is to source a\nvendor/contractor who will be able to work in conjunction with the Kent County Facilities Management\nDepartment staff and the various constituent groups to design, provide, and install the appropriate type,\nsize, and quantity of signage needed for, but not limited to, the following:\n\nInterior Signs\ne Building directory/directional signage in Lobby (departments, destinations, facilities)\n\ne Building Support (i.e. Custodial, Mechanical Room, IT Closet, etc.)\n\n" "e ArealD(i.e. Circulation, Information, Registration)\n\ne Room IDsign\n\ne Telephone and other services\n\ne Restriction signs (No smoking, No food or drink, No Cell phones, etc.)\ne Emergency door ID (to restrict exiting / alarm will sound)\n\ne Code, Regulatory and Universal Access Signing\n\ne Restroom ID\n\ne Accessible facility maps (showing room numbers, restrooms, etc.)\n\nExterior Signs\ne Monument Sign (lit) at entrance off 17 Mile Rd\n\ne Directional wayfinding sign(s)\n\nPlease find attached in Appendix \u201cA\u201d a proposed DRAFT of signage/wayfinding required for the North\nCounty Campus Project for reference.\n\nAppendix \u201cB\u201d - Rendering of exterior\n\nAppendix \u201cC\u201d - Site Plan\n\nAppendix \u201cD\u201d - Floor Plans\n\nAppendix \u201cE\u201d - Schedule\n\nThe signage system(s) offered in each proposal must be a long-term solution and a system that will\npermit periodic changes at a reasonable cost. Please NOTE that there are a number of rooms already\ncovered with Room Schedulers tied into the County\u2019s network as part of the construction portion of the\nproject.\n\nProposals shall:\n> Demonstrate the vendor\u2019s experience with sign projects of similar size and scope\n>\u00bb Define all associated costs for design work, travel, site visits, meeting time/expenses,\napproximate unit cost for signs and their installation\n>\u00bb Share an approximate time/project schedule for lead times of all products offered\n> Be suggestive of options offered by the vendor to achieve cost efficiencies for Kent County in\nboth the initial sign work and subsequent changes in the years to come\n\nDeliverables\nThe proposal shall include the following:\n> All costs associated with design, fabrication and installation of new signs\n> Task oriented timeline for design, fabrication and installation\n> Type and size of the signs to be installed. Indicate the type of construction and size of signage\nfoundation\n> Identify a Project Manager who will be responsible for the work at the site overseeing the\nproject as a whole\n> Manufacturer of the signs\n\nDimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondents.\n" "PRE-SUBMISSION TELECONFERENCE\n\nA pre-submission conference is scheduled for this request. Conference registration located here.\nRegistration closes % hour prior to the conference scheduled date and time. Attendees should join\nthe conference a minimum of five (5) minutes before the conference is scheduled to commence. Late\n\nattendees will not be admitted once the conference has commenced.\n\nThe purpose of the conference is to provide equal opportunity to seek clarifications regarding this\nopportunity. Failure to attend the pre-submission conference may result in rejection of non-attendee\ninquiries. Each Respondent will be given the opportunity to ask questions and is responsible for taking\ntheir own meeting notes. One person from the Respondent should be designated to ask questions\nwhen prompted by the meeting host for teleconference meetings. All additional attendees should\nremain muted. Attendees must fully review all solicitation documents and correspondence prior to the\nconference. Attendee shall be an employee of the Respondent with requisite knowledge, skills, and\nabilities to participate.\n\nMeeting attendees assume all possible risks including technical issues associated with teleconferencing\nand deem the County and its service provider harmless and without fault regardless of the reason.\nAttendees may not screenshot or record any part of the meeting including the audio. Attendees\nrequiring special services are asked to provide their requirements to the Kent County Purchasing\nDivision at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance to allow for accommodations.\n\nThe Kent County Standard Submission Terms posted on the Bid Opportunities page of the Kent County\nPurchasing Division website are incorporated by reference into the solicitation.\n\nREQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION\n\nComplete submissions must be received in the Kent County Purchasing Division no later than the due\ndate/time specified by the designated clock (local time).
