RFP Section 1.3 – Objectives Summary The objectives of this RFP are to receive proposals that meet the specific objectives outlined below for the provision of Retail Food Services at West Park Healthcare Centre. The Purchaser(s) seeks to satisfy the following objectives in an agreement (the “Agreement”) resulting from this RFP: • Contribute to the vibrant hospital environment by providing a pleasurable dining experience showcasing trendy, fresh and quality retail food options that will attract and

retain all customers and contribute to the positive image and reputation of the Centre; • Ensure there is a reasonable number of healthy dining options and menu items (both hot and cold) at good and fair value – in line with what is charged by other food franchise operations in the area and with various price points; • Provide quality services at the best overall value-for-money; • Ensure high customer satisfaction and flexibility to respond to customer service requirements; • Maximize long term revenue for the hospital and vendor by engaging in creative marketing strategies and continuously pursuing means of developing the business and client base; • Work cooperatively with the Purchaser and be flexible, creative, and innovative; • Demonstrate commitment to the environment and sustainability; • Ability to operate between 7am – 7pm with reduced weekend hours between the two locations; • There are two (2) spaces available for lease, which may be awarded to the same Vendor or multiple Vendors to provide a variety of retail food options; • Have the ability to provide limited internal catering services at various price points, whereby the vendor will develop and introduce new catering menus reflecting their experience and successes in other venues with complete on-line ordering available; and, • Must be in full compliance with Toronto Public Health and Canadian Food Inspection Agency standards, in addition to other regulatory best practices. 1. In the event a change is made to these dates, the Proponents will be informed in the same form as the RFP. Mandatory Site Visit Details - February 9, 2023, 9:30am, Meet in the lobby of the Ruddy Building Location. Vendors will need to sign waivers there and will need construction PPE, please bring your own. If you don’t have PPE, please provide their boot size to the bid administrator multiple days prior. Your submission must be uploaded, submitted, and finalized prior to the Closing Time of February 28, 2023 @ 4 PM ET. We strongly recommend that you give yourself sufficient time and at least ONE (1) day before Closing Time to begin the uploading process and to finalize your submission.
