Bid Title:RFP Prevention and Early Intervention Services -Yosemite National Park - NPS Category:Professional ServicesStatus:Open Description: The Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) provides funding to counties to expand and develop mental health services for children, transition-age youth, adults, and older adults. Also known as “Proposition or Prop 63”, California voters passed the MHSA in 2004 to expand and transform mental health services in California to provide a better coordinated and more comprehensive system of care for those with serious mental illness and their families. The Act imposes a 1% tax on an excess of one million dollars in personal income. Local County Mental Health Programs have distributed this money to operate an MHSA program.The MHSA addresses a broad continuum of prevention, early intervention, service needs, and the necessary infrastructure, technology, and training elements that effectively support the public behavioral health system. The County may develop

and operate programs to provide mental health services to clients and, when appropriate, their families. Eligibility to Apply Requirements. Special Requirements: Knowledge and understanding of a collaborative service design. Ability to deliver services to clients in a culturally competent manner, including those with limited English proficiency and diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and criminal involvement. Must have the ability to abide by all local, state, and applicable federal regulations around the Mental Health Services Act.
