It aims to do so through the creation of goals, policies,
programs, and projects that will make walking and biking safer, more comfortable, and more convenient. The project Includes two separate scopes of work (detailed in the scope of work), to be evaluated by the same committee for award.Scope of Work: the Alachua Countywide Bicycle-Pedestrian Master PlanScope of Work: the University of Florida Campus Bicycle Master PlanNote: The two scopes will be contracted separately and the University of Florida (UF) may decide not to contract for its supplemental Scope of Work.1.2. BackgroundLocation: Alachua County is located in North Central Florida. The County government seat is situated in Gainesville. Gainesville is located 70 miles southwest of Jacksonville, 129 miles southeast of Tallahassee, 140 miles northeast of Tampa - St. Petersburg and 109 miles northwest of Orlando. Alachua County has a population of over 250,000 and a regional airport.
