Sidewalks and Curb Ramps

Sealed bids for the Sidewalk Replacement Project will be received by the City of Des Peres,City Clerk's Office, until 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 The bids will then be publiclyopened and read aloud in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des PeresMO 63131. Two copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the projectname, date, and time of opening clearly written on the envelope.The Scope of Work consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 12,000 SF ofconcrete sidewalk slabs and approximately 30 curb ramps in Dougherty Ridge and DoughertyWoods subdivisions. The City has budgeted $175,000 for sidewalk replacement with the goal ofreplacing all trip hazards throughout the neighborhood. The scope may be reduced in order tostay within the budget. Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown inthe specifications. It is anticipated that work will take place in April/May 2023, as weather allows.Bid packages will be available beginning Friday, January 27, 2023 from the Des Peres CityClerk, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131, or they can be downloaded at the link below.Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing underthis Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor andIndustrial Relations of the State of Missouri.A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bidin accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the bestinterest of the
