Frejole # 5 Vegetation Manipulation Thinning Project: The purpose of this contract is secure service for thinning trees. Contractor shall Designate the areas to create a mosaic wildlife opening to improve winter mule deer habitat. It is necessary to thin a portion of the Pinon -Juniper woodlands to create fuel for a future burn / fuelwood. The contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment; safety equipment such as hardhats, eye protection, chain saw chaps (Chain saw chaps shall have minimal rips & tears.) materials, supplies, labor, supervision, workman's compensation, unemployment insurance, and transportation necessary to accomplish the thinning project.Location: This project area is located at the North end of the Guadalupe Ranger District and within the North & South Seven River Watershed area just west & northwest of the Panama Ranch Headquarters in Otero County, New Mexico. The legal location is T 21 S., R. 18 E. Sections 19, 20, 29 & 30. The location and size of the project area, access to the area, and other information pertinent to the project areas are contained on maps or in the Supplemental Specifications.
