Emergency Generator Replacement Project Description :This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Government of Manitoba (“Manitoba”), as represented by the Department of Labour, Consumer Protection & Government Services, Capital Projects Planning and Delivery (“CPPD”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Emergency Generator Replacement as further described in Section 1 of the RFP Particulars (Appendix 3) (the “Work”). Work for this Contract comprises of the replacement of an existing natural gas fired generator for a new diesel fired generator for the AA Heaps Building located at 254 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. CPPD requires the services of a Contractor for emergency generator in a government office building with heritage status. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of the existing generator and provision of new generator. Work site location will be occupied during construction. CPPD is administering this RFP process. For the

purposes of this procurement process, the “RFP Contact” will be: Contract Administrator: El Dela Cruz Email: cppdprocurement@gov.mb.ca Proponents and their representatives are not permitted to contact any employees, officers, agents, elected or appointed officials, or other representatives of Manitoba or CPPD other than the RFP Contact, concerning matters regarding this RFP. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in the disqualification of the proponent and the rejection of the proponent’s proposal. A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting has been scheduled as follows: Location: A.A. Heaps Building - 254-258 Portage Ave. Wpg., MB Date and Time: January 31, 2023 10:00 AM local time Proponents are to meet at location prior to 10AM to sign the site attendance sheet. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting will be confirmed and recorded. Proponents are not entitled to rely on information received from CPPD, CPPD’s representatives or other third parties at the Pre-Bid Meeting unless the RFP Contact has provided the information in writing. Deadline for questions February 7, 2023. All questions must be submitted to the Contract Administrator at cppdprocurement@gov.mb.ca. CPPD will only address questions that were sent to this email address. Bid submission deadline is February 14, 2023 at 2:00:00 P.M. CDT. This is an ebid submission and all bids must be uploaded through MERX. No other form of Proposal submission will be accepted.
