Time and effort spent for bid preparation is the responsibility of the bidder. The act of submitting a bid is considered to be full acknowledgement that the bidder has inspected the sites and is familiar with the conditions. Two copies of the proposal shall be submitted; including the Bid Form furnished herewith and shall exclude state and federal taxes not applicable to municipalities. The bid price

shall be quoted F.O.B. Town of Merrimack, 116 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054. Bids shall include all associated costs of liability insurance, supervision, labor, materials, tools, and travel to complete the work. All work shall be performed in accordance with the NH State Building Code. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities in the proposals, and to accept the proposal which best serves the interest of the Town. The successful bidder will be required to provide an insurance certificate confirming the following insurance coverage: worker’s compensation insurance as required by the State of New Hampshire; broad-form comprehensive general liability insurance in an amount no less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence; and motor vehicle insurance to include bodily injury, property damage, uninsured motorist, and employer’s non- ownership coverage in an amount no less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence. The Town of Merrimack shall be named as an additional insured on all policies. The successful bidder must also agree in writing to indemnify the Town of Merrimack from any and all liability, loss or damage, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, death, or property damage, which the Town becomes legally obligated to pay as a result of http://www.merrimacknh.gov/ claims, demands, costs, or judgment against the Town arising out of the contractor’s actions or omissions relating to this project. The related award will be based on price, and bidder’s experience and reputation. Since our evaluation may require discussions with former customers, bidders shall identify on the Bid Form three customers for whom comparable projects have been completed in the last five years. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, and to accept the bid which best serves the interest of the Town. Docks can be made of wood, aluminum or resin/plastic but must have the ability to expand or be reconfigured in the future. Each pier style dock will be independent of the other dock but will be duplicate copies of each other. The dock structure shall act as one unit when assembled, so that wave and/or wind action shall produce a minimum amount of motion. The dock structure, as a whole, shall consist of the individual sections, which are to be coupled together in the specified configuration shown below. Each dock shall consist of 5 sections which are a minimum of 10 feet long x 60 inches wide. In addition there will be a ramp from the shore to the dock which is a minimum of 10 feet long x 40” inches wide. Each separate floating dock should include a swim ladder and appropriate hardware to attach to the dock. Any material used in the dock structure shall provide for resistance to rust and corrosion. All materials designed and selected must be built for a marine environment and the conditions there of. A 2-D or 3-D layout drawing of the final configuration, including any accessories, shall be supplied by the bidder including recommendations for anchorage can also be provided. It should also include any recommended maintenance that will be required. The floating docks shall be secured with either piles, spuds, bottom anchors, or stiff arms. The securing shall allow the structure to rise and fall freely with any water level changes and allow the structure to span waves from crest to crest, while providing a stable walking surface. Bid price should include the cost of delivery and installation. Docks to be installed no later than June 1, 2022.
