Public Meeting of the Statewide Suicide Prevention Council

The Statewide Suicide Prevention Council (SSPC) will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday, October 26 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and again Friday, October 27 from 9 a.m to 2:30 p.m. at the Egan Center, downstairs in Room 1, located at 555 W 5th Ave., Anchorage, AK 99501, as well as via Zoom. These meetings are open to the public and an agenda and Zoom links are available upon request by emailing eric.morrison@alaska.gov. If you need special accommodation to participate, or wish to attend via Zoom, please contact Eric Morrison no later than noon on October 24 to ensure that any necessary accommodations can be provided. A public comment period will be open from 4-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, both in-person and via Zoom if need be. Alaska's Open Meetings Act (AS 44.62.310) requires all meetings of our Council be open to the public. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in these meetings, but all comments and questions will go through the Chair of the proceedings. Any comments or questions from members of the public should be thoughtful and constructive when offering criticism and should not be used to criticize or attack specific individuals.
